Nickel City Collective, a.k.a. NiCC
Mise en Dènver
Matt Talarico and Sam Granillo came to Nudge with the goal of creating a collaborative identity, print, and web presence for their vision of the Nickel City Collective - a large scale Non-Profit group funding Colorado filmmakers, thus keeping talent within the state, instead of it fleeing to LA and NYC.
Nudge created the acronym NiCC for further reference to the Nickel City Collective, giving it a quick and catchy name for marketing purposes. The tag line ‘Mise en Dènver’ was created as an homage to the French film history term ‘mise en scène’.
For the logo, Nudge believed it was important to represent the medium of motion cinema as a whole. Film is represented with sprocket holes and digital media in the use of multiple colors, evoking TV color bars.

Handbill for NiCC’s launch party. Thanks to artist Arna Miller for her illustration and collaboration.
